Description   Back to Cosworth Main Page Cosworth CNC Ported Big Valve Cylinder Heads 2004-2009 Mazda 3/6, Miata MX-5 MZR (2.0L/2.3L) Cosworth CNC Ported Big Valve Cylinder Heads for the 2004-2009 Mazda 3/6, Miata MX-5 with the MZR engine (2.0L/2.3L) are designed for high performance and maximum horsepower and torque. Each Cosworth MZR CNC ported Big Valve cylinder head is the result of countless hours of development and testing. Starting with fresh large port castings, we precision machine both intake and exhaust ports to maximize flow. We then reshape the combustion chamber to un-shroud the the larger stainless steel valves. The head is then assembled using our hi-rev tapered springs along with new valve stem seals and retainers. This cylinder head is the key to making big power and will flow enough to support 300bhp.
